Lexicon is a game writtten by Neel Krishnaswami, and adapted for use here. It might be wise to start by reading the LexiconRules. The goal for this game is as follows:
- The assembled scholars of the Deliberative University are famed across Creation for their colloquiums and encyclopaedias of matters historical. They have assembled many times to discuss in detail the arduous process which led to the rise of the New Realm. Today, they turn their attention to the period directly preceding the Rape of Thorns. With thanks to the Empress Reborn for her generosity in endowing this effort, and with proper respect to the Five Dragons, we begin.
- A bit of mostly-invariant OOC background: Thorns was a large city overrun by the Deathlord called Mask of Winters, at the head of his vast army and riding his undead behemoth Juggernaut. It's a coastal city in Creation (ask me to see a map if you want), across about 1500 miles of inland sea from the Imperial City, the heart of the Scarlet Empire (think Middle Kingdom/Persia). It's also about 800 miles from Lookshy (Sparta), the major military presence in its region. There are some closer cities --- Celeren, Deren's Ford, Puyo, and Varsi, which I don't have any background for. Feel free to ignore them or fill them in. It's also only a few hundred miles from the lands claimed by the Marukani Horselords, come to think of it. Also, this is written from the point of view of a city on the border of the Immaculate Domination: there are normal people, the Five Dragons (transcendent, ultimate beings worthy of praise, worship,
and adoration) Gods (aka Spirits, not transcendent or in general worthy of worship, though many of them are bribable with sacrifices), Elementals, God-blooded (what happens when Gods breed with mortals), and the Dragon-Blooded, who are the direct representatives of the Dragons in Creation, raised up for their spiritual advancement.
